StarLite Data Compression
Another AHA achievement is the StarLite Family of hardcopy products. Four devices in the family are capable of simultaneous compression and decompression with speeds ranging from 25 MBytes/sec to 66 MBytes/sec. The fifth device, AHA3422, is a 16 MBytes/second decompression only device. The proprietary StarLite algorithm, developed at AHA by some the industry's top engineers, is optimized for bit mapped data in printers and copiers. And like all of AHA's compression algorithms, this one is lossless.
